Hadith 14667

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُذْكَرُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِيمَا سَقَتِ الْأَنْهَارُ وَالْغَيْمُ الْعُشُورُ ، وَفِيمَا سَقَتِ السَّانِيَةُ نِصْفُ الْعُشُورِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On land irrigated by rain or springs, ‘ushr (one-tenth) is obligatory, and on land irrigated by buckets, half of ‘ushr (one-twentieth) is obligatory.
