Hadith 10719

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the iqamah for prayer was being called and people began to straighten the rows. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also arrived and stood at his place. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remembered that he had not performed ghusl. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people, "Stay here," and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left. When he returned, we were still standing in the rows as before, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed ghusl, and drops of water were dripping from his head. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir and led us in prayer.
