Hadith 217

عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " لا تَرْقُبُوا شَيْئًا، فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ، وَلا تَعْمُرُوا، فَمَنْ عَمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), who reports from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Do not make anything as Raqba; whoever makes something as Raqba, it belongs to him. And do not make anything as Umra; whoever makes something as Umra, it belongs to him."
