باب الْأَمْرِ بِتَعَهُّدِ الْقُرْآنِ، وَكَرَاهَةِ قَوْلِ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَذَا، وَجَوَازِ قَوْلِ أُنْسِيتُهَا
Chapter: The command to keep refreshing one’s knowledge of the Qur’an and that it is disliked to say I have forgotten such-and-such a verse, but it is permissible to say I have been caused to forget
2باب اسْتِحْبَابِ تَحْسِينِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ:
Chapter: It is recommended to make one’s voice beautiful when reciting Qur’an
3باب ذِكْرِ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ:
Chapter: Mentioning the recitation of the Prophet (saws) of Surat al-Fath on the day of the conquest of Makkah
4باب نُزُولِ السَّكِينَةِ لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ:
Chapter: The descent of tranquility (sakinah) when the Qur’an is recited
5باب فَضِيلَةِ حَافِظِ الْقُرْآنِ:
Chapter: The virtue of the one who memorizes the Qur’an
6باب فَضْلِ الْمَاهِرِ بِالْقُرْآنِ وَالَّذِي يَتَتَعْتَعُ فِيهِ:
Chapter: The virtue of the one who is skilled in reciting Qur’an and the one who falters in reciting
7باب اسْتِحْبَابِ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْفَضْلِ وَالْحُذَّاقِ فِيهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْقَارِئُ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْمَقْرُوءِ عَلَيْهِ:
Chapter: It is recommended to recite the Qur’an to people of virtue who are skilled in its recitation, even if the reciter is better than the one to whom it is recited
8باب فَضْلِ اسْتِمَاعِ الْقُرْآنِ وَطَلَبِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مِنْ حَافِظِهِ لِلاِسْتِمَاعِ وَالْبُكَاءِ عِنْدَ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَالتَّدَبُّرِ:
Chapter: The virtue of listening to the Qur’an, asking one who has memorized it to recite so that one may listen, weeping when reciting, and pondering the meanings
9باب فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَتَعَلُّمِهِ:
Chapter: The virtue of reciting the Qur’an in prayer and learning it
10باب فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ:
Chapter: The virtue of reciting the Qur’an and Surat al-Baqarah
11باب فَضْلِ الْفَاتِحَةِ وَخَوَاتِيمِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَالْحَثِّ عَلَى قِرَاءَةِ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ الْبَقَرَةِ:
Chapter: The virtue of al-Fatihah and the closing verse of Surat al-Baqarah; and the encouragement to recite the two verses at the end of Surat al-Baqarah
12باب فَضْلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ وَآيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّ:
Chapter: The virtue of Surat al-Kahf and Ayat al-Kursi
13باب فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ: {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ}:
Chapter: The virtue of reciting Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad
14باب فَضْلِ قِرَاءَةِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ:
Chapter: The virtue of reciting al-Mu`awwidhatain (the two surahs seeking refuge with Allah)
15باب فَضْلِ مَنْ يَقُومُ بِالْقُرْآنِ وَيُعَلِّمُهُ وَفَضْلِ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ حِكْمَةً مِنْ فِقْهٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ فَعَمِلَ بِهَا وَعَلَّمَهَا.
Chapter: The virtue of one who acts in accordance with the Qur’an and teaches it. And the virtue of one who learns wisdom from Fiqh or other types of knowledge, then acts upon it and teaches it
16باب بَيَانِ أَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ وَبَيَانِ مَعْنَاهُ:
Chapter: The clarification that the Qur’an was revealed in seven ahruf (modes of recitation), and clarifying its meaning
17باب تَرْتِيلِ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَاجْتِنَابِ الْهَذِّ وَهُوَ الإِفْرَاطُ فِي السُّرْعَةِ وَإِبَاحَةِ سُورَتَيْنِ فَأَكْثَرَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ.
Chapter: Slow, measured pace of recitation (tartil), and to not rush when reciting, and the permissibility of reciting two or more surahs in one rak`ah
18باب مَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِالْقِرَاءَاتِ:
Chapter: Concerning various recitations
19باب الأَوْقَاتِ الَّتِي نُهِيَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِيهَا:
Chapter: The times when it is forbidden to offer salat
20باب لاَ تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا:
Chapter: Do not aim to pray when the sun is rising or setting
21باب مَعْرِفَةِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ كَانَ يُصَلِّيهِمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ:
Chapter: Concerning the two rak`ah that the Prophet (saws) used to pray after `Asr
22باب اسْتِحْبَابِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الْمَغْرِبِ:
Chapter: It is recommended to pray two rak`ah before Maghrib
23باب بَيْنَ كُلِّ أَذَانَيْنِ صَلاَةٌ:
Chapter: Between every two calls, there is a prayer
24باب صَلاَةِ الْخَوْفِ:
Chapter: The fear prayer
