Hadith 39264
٣٩٢٦٤ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن (مجالد) (١) عن عامر عن حُبْشي بن (جنادة) (٢) قال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "الصدقة لا تحل لغني ولا لذي مِرّة سوي" (٣).
Hazrat Hubshi bin Junadah narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Charity is not lawful for the wealthy, nor is it lawful for the strong and healthy.
Hadith 39265
٣٩٢٦٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن أبي حصين عن سالم عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا تحل الصدقة لغني ولا لذي مرة سوي" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Charity is not lawful for the wealthy, nor is it lawful for the strong and healthy.
Hadith 39266
٣٩٢٦٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن (سعد) (١) بن إبراهيم عن ريحان بن يزيد عن عبد اللَّه بن عمرو قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا تحل الصدقة لغني، ⦗٣٣٥⦘ ولا لذي مرة سوي" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Charity (Zakat) is not lawful for the wealthy, nor is it lawful for the strong and healthy. And it is reported about (Imam) Abu Hanifa that he permitted giving charity to such a person and said that it is permissible.
