Concerning the Effects of Madhi and Wet Dreams on Clothing
Hadith 39242
٣٩٢٤٢ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان عن جابر قال: جاء سليك الغطفاني والنبي ﷺ يخطب يوم (جمعة) (١)، فقال له: "صليت؟ " قال: لا، قال: "صل ركعتين تَجوَّزْ فيهما" (٢).
Hazrat Jabir narrates that Sulaik Ghatafani came while the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon on Friday. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Have you performed the prayer?" He replied, "No!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform two rak‘ahs and make them brief."
Hadith 39243
٣٩٢٤٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن عمران عن أبي مجلز قال: إذا جئت يوم الجمعة (و) (١) الإمام يخطب فإن شئت صليت ركعتين، وإن شئت جلست.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abi Majlez that when you come on Friday and the Imam is delivering the sermon, then if you wish, you may perform two rak'ahs, and if you wish, you may sit down.
Hadith 39244
٣٩٢٤٤ - حدثنا أزهر عن ابن عون قال: كان الحسن يجيء والإمام يخطب فيصلي ركعتين.
Ibn Aun narrates that Hasan would arrive while the Imam was delivering the sermon, and he would perform two units of prayer.
Hadith 39245
٣٩٢٤٥ - حدثنا هشيم أخبرنا منصور و (أبو) (١) (حرة) (٢) ويونس عن الحسن قال: جاء سليك الغطفاني والنبي ﷺ يخطب يوم الجمعة ولم يكن صلى الركعتين، فأمره النبي أن يصلي ركعتين يتجوز فيهما (٣).
Hasan narrates that Sulaik Ghatafani came while the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the Friday sermon. He had not performed two rak‘ahs. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to perform two rak‘ahs and to make them brief. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa’s opinion has been mentioned that: (During the sermon) he will not perform prayer.
