Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the hand cut off (for the theft) of a shield whose value was three dirhams.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The hand will be cut off for a quarter dinar or more.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the hand cut off for theft of five dirhams. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: the hand should not be cut off for less than ten dirhams.
