Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent his daughter Hazrat Zainab back to Abu Al-As after two years with the same (previous) marriage.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sha'bi that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Zainab back to Abu al-As on the basis of the first marriage. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion is mentioned that: the marriage will be renewed.
