Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Imran bin Husain narrates that a man had six slaves. At the time of his death, he set them free. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew lots among them and set two of them free and declared four of them to remain slaves.

Hazrat Abu Huraira has also narrated such a tradition from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: such a manumission is of no consideration, and he does not accept drawing of lots either.
