Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila that he says: The soul is in the hand of an angel who carries it. Then, when he enters the grave, he places it in it.

It is narrated from Hazrat A'mash that he says Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila used to lead the prayer. Then when someone came to meet him, he would come to his bed and lean on it with a pillow.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila, in the commentary of the verse of the Holy Qur'an { لاَ یَرْہَقُ وُجُوہَہُمْ قَتَرٌ وَلاَ ذِلَّۃٌ}, states that this condition will be after they have seen their Lord.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila that he says: The polytheists will say, "Alas for our destruction! Who has raised us from our graves?" It is said: And the believers will say, "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers spoke the truth about it."
