Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated about Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to say: I like that when I die, I become forgotten and unnoticed.

Hazrat Ishaq narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I wish she had been a tree that glorifies (Allah) and completes its term, and had never been born."

It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah that he heard Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saying: "I wish I had never been born."

It is narrated from Ibrahim, he says that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Commit fewer sins, for you will never meet Allah with anything resembling the fewness of sins.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "You people have abandoned the best act of worship, that is, humility."

It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that he said: Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to distribute seventy thousand, but she would patch her own shawl.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she says: Whoever is questioned in detail about his account on the Day of Judgment will not be forgiven.

Hazrat Abu Safar says that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: People have wasted a major part of their religion, that is, wara' (piety, scrupulousness).

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The family of Muhammad (ﷺ) never ate their fill of wheat bread for more than three days.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: We would spend month after month in such a state that we would not light a fire (for cooking). Our food would be only dates and water.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Whoever is not called to account on the Day of Resurrection will enter Paradise. Then she (may Allah be pleased with her) recited the verses: { فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِیَ کِتَابَہُ بِیَمِینِہِ فَسَوْفَ یُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا یَسِیرًا } Then she (may Allah be pleased with her) recited this verse: { یُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِیمَاہُمْ فَیُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِی وَالأَقْدَامِ }

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: When any one of you wishes for something, he should wish for it abundantly, because he is asking from his Lord alone.

It is narrated from Ibrahim, he says that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I would love to be a leaf of that tree.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away in such a state that there was nothing in my cupboard that any living being could eat except for a few grains of barley that were in my cupboard.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that a bald snake is set upon the disbeliever in his grave. It will eat the flesh from his head to his feet. Then the flesh will be restored, and it will eat from his feet to his head. Then the flesh will be restored, and it will eat from his head to his feet. Then this process will continue.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sa’d that he says: I saw myself that we used to go for jihad with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and we had no provisions except the leaves of vegetables and that acacia tree. To the extent that one of us would pass stool like the droppings of a goat, in which there was no husk. Then the Banu Asad have started reprimanding me regarding matters of religion. Then I will be disappointed and my deeds will be in loss.

Hazrat Zubair bin Al-Awwam says: Whoever among you is able to keep his good deeds hidden, he should do so.

It is narrated from Hazrat Salih bin Ibrahim that he says: I asked a man from the tribe of Juhaina, "What is the matter with Zaid bin Khalid Juhani?" (According to Sheikh Muhammad Awwama, the meaning of the next phrase is not clear and there is confusion in the manuscripts.)

It is narrated about Hazrat Jarir that while admonishing his people, he said: "You are like that ostrich which has been made to fly away. You should adhere to riding animals; if you do not find one, then make your own arrangements. And indeed, in terms of ruin, the very first land will be the one on the left side, then after that, the one behind on the right side. And the Gathering (Mahshar) will be here, and we will be at the back."
