Hadith 35216
٣٥٢١٦ - حدثنا إسماعيل ابن علية عن صدقة بن يسار عن القاسم قال: كان النبي ﷺ يبرد (١).
Hazrat Qasim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send messages through a messenger.
Hadith 35217
٣٥٢١٧ - حدثنا وكيع عن طلحة بن يحيى أن عمر بن عبد العزيز كان يبرد فحمل مولى له رجلًا على البريد بغير إذنه، قال: فدعاه فقال: لا (تبرح) (١) حتى ⦗٣٣٩⦘ (تقومه) (٢) ثم (تجعله) (٣) في بيت المال.
Hazrat Talha bin Yahya (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) used to send messages through a messenger. One of his slaves allowed a person to ride on the postal mount without his permission. He (may Allah have mercy on him) called him and said: Do not part from him until you pay its price, then deposit its price in the public treasury (Bait-ul-Mal).
Hadith 35218
٣٥٢١٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام عن يحيى بن أبي كثير أن النبي ﷺ قال لأمرائه: "إذا أبردتم إلي بريد فأبردوه حسن الوجه حسن الاسم" (١).
Hazrat Yahya bin Abi Kathir, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instructed his appointed leaders: When you send correspondence to me through a messenger, then send someone with a handsome face and a good name.
Hadith 35219
٣٥٢١٩ - حدثنا عبيد اللَّه عن إسرائيل (بن) (١) أبي إسحاق عن أبيه أن معاوية كتب إلى عبد الرحمن بن خالد أن احمل إلي جريرا على البريد فحمله (٢).
Hazrat Abu Ishaq’s (may Allah have mercy on him) father narrates that Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote a letter to Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Khalid (may Allah have mercy on him) instructing him to send Jarir to him with a message. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) sent him.
