Hadith 34806
٣٤٨٠٦ - حدثنا عفان قال: ثنا حماد بن سلمة عن حميد عن الحسن عن عمران بن حصين قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا جلب ولا جنب" (١).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to shout to make a horse run, and during a horse race, to keep a horse at your side so that when it becomes tired you mount another, this is also not permissible.
Hadith 34807
٣٤٨٠٧ - حدثنا (سهل) (١) بن يوسف عن حميد عن الحسن عن عمران بن حصين بمثله ولم يرفعه (٢).
The previously mentioned hadith from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah have mercy on him) is also transmitted as mawquf through this chain.
Hadith 34808
٣٤٨٠٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا معقل بن عبيد اللَّه العبسي عن عطاء قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا جلب ولا جنب في الإسلام" (١).
Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Islam, it is not permissible to make noise to urge a horse to run. And during a horse race, keeping another horse by your side so that if the first horse slows down, you can mount the second one, this is also not permissible.
Hadith 34809
٣٤٨٠٩ - حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن محمد بن إسحاق عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا جلب ولا جنب" (١).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to make noise to urge a horse to run, and during a horse race, it is also not permissible to keep another horse at your side so that in case the first horse slows down, you mount the second one.
