Hadith 34682
٣٤٦٨٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن (سفيان) (١) عن جامع بن (شداد) (٢) عن صفوان بن محرز المازني عن عمران بن حصين قال: جاءت بنو تميم إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: "أبشروا يا بني تميم"، فقالوا: يا رسول اللَّه، بشرتنا فأعطنا (٣).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the tribe of Banu Tamim came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: O Banu Tamim! Rejoice. So those people said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon you)! You have given us glad tidings, so grant us something as well.
Hadith 34683
٣٤٦٨٣ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن سفيان عن واصل عن المعرور بن سويد عن ابن فاتك قال: قال لي كعب: إن أشد أحياء العرب على الدجال لقومك -يعني: بني تميم.
Hazrat Ibn Fatik (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Indeed, among the living Arabs, your people will be the most severe against Dajjal, that is, the tribe of Banu Tamim.
Hadith 34684
٣٤٦٨٤ - حدثنا أبو نعيم عن مسافر الجصاص عن (فضيل) (١) بن عمرو قال: ذكروا بني تميم عند حذيفة فقال: إنهم أشد الناس على الدجال (٢).
Hazrat Fudail bin Amr, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that people mentioned the tribe of Banu Tamim in the presence of Hazrat Hudhaifa, may Allah be pleased with him: so he, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Verily, the people of Banu Tamim will be the most severe among the people against the Dajjal.
Hadith 34685
٣٤٦٨٥ - حدثنا أبو نعيم عن مندل عن ثور عن رجل قال: خطب رجل من الأنصار امرأة فقال له رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ما يضرك إذا كانت ذات دين وجمال أن لا تكون من آل حاجب بن زرارة" (١).
Hazrat Thawr, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from a man that a person from the Ansar sent a marriage proposal to a woman. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "It is not harmful for you that the woman is religious and beautiful, nor is it harmful that she is from the family of Hajib bin Zurarah Tamimi."
Hadith 34686
٣٤٦٨٦ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن أبي خلدة عن أبي العالية قال: قرأ على النبي ﷺ من كل خمس رجلٌ، فاختلفوا في اللغة (فرضي) (١) قراءتهم كلهم، (فكان) (٢) بنو تميم (أعرب) (٣) القوم (٤).
Hazrat Abu Alia (may Allah have mercy on him) says that one out of every five people recited the Holy Qur'an before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then these people differed in their pronunciation, yet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was pleased with the recitation of all of them, and the tribe of Banu Tamim were the most eloquent in the Arabic language among the people.
Hadith 34687
٣٤٦٨٧ - حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم قال: ثنا شعبة عن خالد الحذاء عن ابن سيرين أن أبا موسى كتب إلى عمر في ثمانية عشر (تجفافا) (١) أصابها، ⦗١٩٧⦘ فكتب إليه عمر أن ضعها في أشجع حي من العرب، قال: فوضعها في بني رباح حي من بني تميم (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote a letter to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) inquiring about the eighteen coats of armor that had come into his possession. So Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied to him: Give these coats of armor to the people of the bravest tribe among the Arabs. The narrator states: He (may Allah be pleased with him) bestowed these coats of armor upon Banu Riyah, which is a branch of Banu Tamim.
