Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has the ability to die in Madinah, he should die there. For surely, I will intercede for the one who dies there.

Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Surely, Allah has named Madinah as "Tābah" (Pure).

Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Medina is like a blacksmith's bellows; it removes evil just as the bellows remove impurities from iron."

Hazrat Fatimah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is Tayyibah (pure), meaning Madinah Munawwarah. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no wide or narrow path in it except that there is an angel appointed over it until the Day of Judgment, standing with a drawn sword.

Hazrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The fear of the one-eyed Dajjal will never be able to enter Madinah. On that day, Madinah will have seven gates, and at each gate there will be two angels appointed.

Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Medina is like a blacksmith's furnace; it removes impurities and enhances its purity."

Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frightens the people of Madinah, upon him is the curse of Allah, His angels, and all people. No good deed or ransom will be accepted from him. Whoever frightened them has frightened those on both their sides, that is, the people on both edges.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will travel across the entire earth except for Makkah and Madinah. When he comes near Madinah, he will find rows of angels on every wall of it. Then he will come to the barren land near Madinah and will strike its foundation three times, shaking it. As a result, every hypocrite man and hypocrite woman will come out towards him.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, faith will gather towards Madinah just as a snake gathers towards its hole.

Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, this is Taabah (pure), and it removes every evil, meaning Madinah Munawwarah.

Hazrat Sahl bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards Madinah with his hand and said: Surely, this is a sanctuary of peace.
