Narrations Mentioned Regarding the Women of Quraysh
Hadith 34580
٣٤٥٨٠ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا محمد بن عمرو عن أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "خير نساء ركبن الإبل نساء قريش، أحناه على ولد في صغره، وأرعاه على (بعل) (١) في ذات يده" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the women who ride camels, the best are the women of Quraysh. They are the most compassionate towards their children in their infancy, and are the best guardians regarding their husbands.
Hadith 34581
٣٤٥٨١ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا محمد بن راشد عن مكحول قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "خير نساء ركبن الإبل نساء قريش، أحناه على ولد في صغره، وأرعاه على بعل في ذات يده، ولو علمت أن مريم ابنة عمران ركبت بعيرًا ما فضلت عليها أحدا" (١).
Hazrat Mak'hool (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the women who ride camels, the best are the women of Quraysh. They show great affection to their children in their childhood and are very good guardians regarding their husbands. And if I had known that Maryam bint Imran rode a camel, I would not have given anyone superiority over her.
Hadith 34582
٣٤٥٨٢ - حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن هشام عن أبيه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "خير نساء ركبن الإبل صالحة نساء قريش أرعاه على زوج في ذات يده، وأحناه على ولد في صغره" (١).
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the women who ride camels, the best and most virtuous are the women of Quraysh. They are excellent guardians regarding their husbands and show great compassion to their children in their infancy.
