Mention of Uways al-Qarni (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 34518
٣٤٥١٨ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام) (١) عن الحسن قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "يدخل الجنة بشفاعة رجل من أمتي مثل ربيعة ومضر" (٢).
Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Because of the intercession of one man from my Ummah, as many people from the tribe of Rabi’ah and the tribe of Mudar will enter Paradise. Hazrat Huwaisib (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we asked Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him): Were you told the name of this person? He (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Yes! Hazrat Uwais Qarni (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 34520
٣٤٥٢٠ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: ثنا سليمان بن المغيرة عن الجريري عن أبي نضرة عن (أسير) (١) بن جابر عن عمر عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال: "سيقدم عليكم رجل يقال له: أويس، كان به بياض فدعا اللَّه (له) (٢)، فأذهبه اللَّه، فمن لقيه منكم فمروه فليستغفر له"، قال: فلقيه عمر فقال: استغفر لي، فاستغفر له (٣).
Hazrat Umar narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon a person will come to you whose name will be Uwais. There will be a white mark on his face. When he prays to Allah, Allah will remove it. Whoever among you meets him should ask him to seek forgiveness for him. The narrator says: Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) met him and said: Pray for forgiveness for me. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) prayed for his forgiveness.
