Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Muslim Batin (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) will also be my wife in Paradise.

Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Many men attained perfection, but among women none attained perfection except Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh, and Maryam bint Imran (may Allah be pleased with her), and the superiority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) over women is like the superiority of tharid over all foods.

Hazrat Mus'ab bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has superiority over women just as tharid has superiority over other foods.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Muhammad bin Zaid narrates that it has been reported to us that Hazrat Abdullah bin Safwan and another man with him, both of them, presented themselves before Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O so-and-so! Have you heard the hadith of Hazrat Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her)? He replied: Yes, O Mother of the Believers. Upon this, Hazrat Abdullah bin Safwan (may Allah have mercy on him) asked her: O Mother of the Believers! What is that hadith? She (may Allah be pleased with her) said: There are nine qualities in me that are not found in anyone among the people, except those which Allah granted to Maryam bint Imran. By Allah! I do not say this to boast over my companions. Abdullah bin Safwan asked: O Mother of the Believers! What are those qualities? She (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The angel descended with my image, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me when I was seven years old, and I was presented before him at the age of nine. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) married only me as a virgin, and in this, no one shares with me. And revelation would come to him (peace and blessings be upon him) while I and he were in the same bed. And I was the most beloved of all people to him (peace and blessings be upon him). And several verses of the Qur'an were revealed concerning me. And it was near that the Ummah would have been destroyed because of them. And I saw Jibreel (peace be upon him), and no woman besides me has seen him. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away in my house, where there was no one except me and the angel.

Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me that while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting at home, a man riding a horse entered our chamber. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and went towards him and placed his hand on the horse’s neck. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to speak with that person. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned. So I asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon you)! Who was that person with whom you were whispering? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Did you see someone? Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Yes! I saw a man riding a horse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Whom did you find that person resembling? She replied: Hazrat Dihya Kalbi (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That was Jibreel (Gabriel, peace be upon him); indeed, you have seen something good. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Then he stayed as long as Allah willed him to stay. Then Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) entered while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the chamber. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)! I said: I am present, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is Jibreel (peace be upon him); indeed, he has commanded me to convey his greetings to you. I said: You also convey to him from me: May Allah’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon him. May Allah grant the guest, who is the best of all guests who ever entered, the best of rewards. She (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Revelation used to descend upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while I and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were on the same bed.

Hazrat Mus'ab bin Ishaq bin Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was shown to me in Paradise, so that because of her my death would become easy for me. It is as if I saw her hand.

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The superiority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) over women is like the superiority of Tharid over all other foods.

Hazrat Ibn Abi Mulaika (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away in my house, between my chest and stomach.

Hazrat Abu Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) to seek help from the people. A man stood up and began to find fault with Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Surely, she is the purified wife of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) both in this world and in the Hereafter. But Allah has tested us through her, whether we obey him (Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him) or her.

Hazrat Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Surely, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) is also the wife of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Paradise.

Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Hafs narrates that Hazrat Umm Ruman, who is the mother of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Both of them requested: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Please pray to Allah for Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) in such a way that we may also hear it. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed: O Allah! Forgive Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), completely, both outwardly and inwardly.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Indeed, Jibreel (peace be upon him) is conveying greetings of peace to you. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: Peace be upon him as well, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.
