Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Some people will come to you who will be very soft-hearted. The narrator says: Then the people of the Ash'ari tribe came among whom was Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him). They were reciting rajaz poetry: Translation: Tomorrow we will meet beloved people, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his group.

Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The tribe of Ash'ar has been given one of the tones from the tones of the family of Dawood (peace be upon him).

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, the tribe of Ash'ar has been given one of the dialects from among the dialects of the family of Dawood (peace be upon him).

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Abu Musa Ash'ari has been given one of the melodies from the melodies of the family of Dawud (peace be upon him).

Hazrat Iyad Ash'ari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him): These people are the same nation, that is, regarding the statement of Allah Almighty, "So soon Allah will bring forth a people whom He loves and they love Him." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are the same people.
