Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hasan narrates that Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him) was thrown into the well at the age of seventeen, and he spent eighty years in slavery, imprisonment, and kingship. Then, when his family was reunited, he lived for another eighty years after that.

It is narrated from Rabi’ah Jurashi that beauty was divided into two parts; thus, half of the beauty was given to Hazrat Yusuf and his mother, and the remaining half was given to all other creation.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Who is the most noble?" He replied, "The one who is the most God-fearing." He said, "We are not asking you about this." So he replied, "Then the most noble is Allah's Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), who is the son of Allah's Prophet, who is the son of Allah's Prophet, who is the son of Allah's Khalil (friend)." Peace be upon them.

Hazrat Anas narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said that Yusuf (peace be upon him) was granted half of all beauty.

Hazrat Abdullah says that Yusuf (peace be upon him) and his mother were given one third of the beauty of all creation.
