Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim states that regarding the woman who left behind two maternal brothers, one of whom is also her paternal cousin, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) said that one third of the wealth will be divided between the two, and the remainder will go to the woman's paternal cousin. Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the wealth will be divided equally among them. Hazrat Abu Bakr states that according to the statements of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), this issue will be resolved from three shares, and according to the statement of Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him), it will be resolved from two shares.
