Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hammad that Ibrahim said: When a person makes a bequest for the performance of both Hajj and Zakat, their fulfillment will be made from one third of the wealth.

Mughira narrates the statement of Ibrahim that when a person makes a bequest for a Hajj which he has already performed, then its fulfillment will be made from one third of his wealth.

Hisham narrates that Muhammad bin Sirin also said that payment will be made from one third of the wealth.

It is narrated from Yunus and Mansur that Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Its payment will be made from the entire wealth.

It is narrated from Sulaiman Taimi that Hasan and Hazrat Tawus said regarding the man upon whom both the obligatory Hajj and Zakat on wealth were due, that both of these are in the category of debt.

It is narrated from Abdul Aziz that Sha'bi said regarding the person who, before dying, makes a will that Hajj should be performed on his behalf, or the expiation for missed fasts of Ramadan should be given as charity, or the expiation for an oath should be given as charity, that their fulfillment will be from one third of the wealth.

It is narrated from Muammar that Zuhri said: When any obligatory thing remains upon a person, its payment will be made from the entire wealth.

It is narrated from Laith that Hazrat Tawus said: Its payment will be made from the entire wealth.
