One Who Leaves Three Sons and Bequeaths the Equivalent of One Son's Share
Hadith 32829
٣٢٨٢٩ - حدثنا حفص عن داود بن أبي هند قال: سئل عامر عن رجل مات وترك ثلاثة بنين وأوصى بمثل نصيب أحدهم قال: هو رابع له الربع.
Dawud bin Abi Hind narrates that Hazrat Amir was asked about a man who, at the time of his death, left behind three sons and made a bequest equal to the share of one son. He replied: That man, who is the fourth, will receive one-fourth of the share.
Hadith 32830
٣٢٨٣٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور والأعمش عن إبراهيم قال: إذا ترك الرجل ثلاثة بنين وأوصى بمثل نصيب (أحد بنيه) (١) قال: (زد) (٢) واحدا، اجعلها من أربعة.
Mansur and A'mash narrate that Ibrahim said: When a man dies leaving behind three sons and makes a bequest equal to the share of one son, then consider it as an addition of one person and divide the wealth into four parts.
Hadith 32831
٣٢٨٣١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: (ثنا) (١) سفيان عن داود عن الشعبي قال: (زد) (٢) (واحدًا) (٣) (و) (٤) اجعلها من أربعة.
