Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "I saw in a dream that it was as if my neck was cut off." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why does one of you relate the playing of Satan with himself?"

It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I saw in a dream that my head was cut off." The narrator states that upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed and said, "When any of you is played with by Satan in a dream, he should not relate it to the people."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I saw in a dream that my head was cut off and then I saw myself holding my head in my own hand." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Satan comes to one of you in a frightening form and causes him to be afraid, and then that person starts telling people about it in the morning."

Hazrat Haritha bin Mudarrib narrates that a man saw in a dream that whoever prayed in the mosque tonight will enter Paradise. Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) came out saying, "Go away, do not be deceived, for this is a satanic whisper."
