Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ikrimah states that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The entire Qur'an was sent down from the highest heaven to the heaven of the world in Ramadan. Then, whenever Allah intended to bring something into existence, He would reveal it.

Ayyub narrates that Hazrat Abu Qilabah said: The Torah was revealed on the sixth of Ramadan. And the Quran was sent down on the twenty-fourth of Ramadan.

Hazrat Khalid narrates that Hazrat Abu Qilabah said: All the heavenly books were revealed on the twenty-fourth of Ramadan.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said regarding Allah’s statement: “Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Decree (__QUR_N__)”: Hazrat Jibreel was entrusted with the entire Qur’an on the Night of Decree. Then it was placed in Bayt al-‘Izzah, and after that, he continued to reveal it gradually.

Hazrat Abu Alia narrates that Hazrat Abu Jild said: The scriptures of Ibrahim were revealed on the first night of Ramadan. And the Zabur on the sixth night, and the Injil on the eighteenth night. And the Quran was revealed on the twenty-fourth night.
