Who Dislikes Holding the Qur'an During Worldly Matters
Hadith 32114
٣٢١١٤ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: كان يكره أن يقرأ القرآن (عند الأمر) (١) بعرض من أمر الدنيا.
Hazrat Mughira narrates that Ibrahim disliked reciting the Qur'an in the event of any worldly matter arising.
Hadith 32115
٣٢١١٥ - حدثنا حفص عن هشام بن عروة قال: كان أبي إذا رأى شيئًا من أمر الدنيا يعجبه قال: ﴿لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ﴾ [الحجر: ٨٨].
Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah narrates that whenever my father saw something of the world that pleased him, he would recite the verse! And do not raise your eyes towards that which We have given to different groups among them as the splendor of the life of this world.
