Hadith 31921
Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman says that it was narrated to us by the person who was among the companions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and used to teach us the Qur'an. He said: Indeed, the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to learn ten verses from the Prophet; and they would not learn the next ten verses until they were certain that what they had learned was also in practice and knowledge. He said: We learned both knowledge and action.
Hadith 31922
Hazrat Khalid bin Dinar narrates that Hazrat Abu Aliah said: Learn the Qur'an in sets of five verses, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to learn five verses at a time.
Hadith 31923
Ismail said that Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman used to teach us five verses at a time.
