Supplication on the Night of Arafah
Hadith 31811
٣١٨١١ - حدثنا أحمد بن إسحاق قال: حدثني (عزرة) (١) بن قيس صاحب الطعام قال: حدثتني أم (الفيض) (٢) عن عبد اللَّه بن مسعود عن النبي ﷺ قال: "من قال: هؤلاء الكلمات ليلة عرفة (ألف) (٣) مرة لم (يسأل) (٤) اللَّه شيئًا إلا أعطاه إياه، ليس فيه إثم ولا قطيعة رحم: سبحان (اللَّه) (٥) الذي في السماء عرشه، سبحان (اللَّه) (٦) الذي في الأرض موطئه، سبحان (٧) الذي في البحر سبيله، سبحان (٨) الذي في الجنة رحمته، سبحان (٩) الذي في النار سلطانه، سبحان (١٠) الذي في الهواء رحمته، سبحان (١١) الذي في (القبور) (١٢) قضاؤه، سبحان (١٣) الذي رفع السماء، سبحان (١٤) ⦗٣٥٧⦘ الذي وضع الأرض، سبحان (١٥) الذي لا منجا منه إلا إليه" (١٦).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites these words one thousand times on the night of Arafah, whatever he asks Allah for, Allah will surely grant him that thing, provided that he does not ask for anything sinful or for breaking family ties in his supplication.
Glory be to Allah, whose Throne is in the heavens; glory be to Allah, whose footstool is in the earth; glory be to Allah, whose path is in the sea; glory be to Allah, whose mercy is in Paradise; glory be to Allah, whose sovereignty is in Hell; glory be to Allah, whose mercy is in the air; glory be to Allah, who raised the heavens; glory be to Allah, who laid down the earth; glory be to Allah, from whom there is no place of salvation except with Him.
