Narrations Regarding Reciting Surah al-Mulk and Surah Sajdah and What Some Scholars Said About Them
Hadith 31803
٣١٨٠٣ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن ليث عن أبي الزبير عن جابر قال: كان النبي ﷺ لا ينام حتى يقرأ: ﴿الم تَنْزِيلُ﴾ و ﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾ (١).
Hazrat Jabir narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go to sleep until he had recited Surah Alif Lam Meem Tanzeel and Surah Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk.
Hadith 31804
٣١٨٠٤ - [حدثنا أبو معاوية عن ليث (١) عن طاوس قال: فضلت ﴿الم تَنْزِيلُ﴾ ⦗٣٥٤⦘ و ﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾] (٢) على سائر القرآن بستين حسنة (٣).
Hazrat Laith narrates that Hazrat Tawus said: Surah { الم تَنْزِیلُ } and Surah { تَبَارَکَ الَّذِی بِیَدِہِ الْمُلْکُ } have been given superiority over the entire Quran with sixty virtues.
Hadith 31805
٣١٨٠٥ - حدثنا حسين بن علي عن زائدة عن هشام عن أبي يونس عن طاوس قال: من قرأ: ﴿الم تَنْزِيلُ﴾ السجدة و ﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾ كان (له) (١) مثل أجر ليلة القدر.
Hazrat Abu Yunus narrates that Hazrat Tawus said: Whoever recites Surah { الم تَنْزِیلُ السَّجْدَۃَ } and Surah { تَبَارَکَ الَّذِی بِیَدِہِ الْمُلْکُ } at night will receive a reward equal to that of Laylat al-Qadr. The narrator says: Hazrat Ata passed by. We said to one of our companions, "Go to him and ask about this hadith." So he said: "He has spoken the truth. Since I heard about the virtue of these two, I have not abandoned them since then."
