Supplication of the Prophet ﷺ When Confronting an Enemy
Hadith 31564
٣١٥٦٤ - حدثنا وكيع (حدثنا) (١) عمران بن حدير عن أبي مجلز أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا لقي العدو قال: "اللهم أنت عضدي ونصيري، بك (أحاول) (٢)، و (بك) (٣) أصول، وبك أقاتل" (٤).
Hazrat Abu Majliz narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encountered any enemy, he would supplicate as follows: O Allah! You are my arm and my helper, with Your help I plan, with Your help I attack, and with Your help I fight.
Hadith 31565
٣١٥٦٥ - (حدثنا وكيع) (١) (حدثنا) (٢) إسماعيل بن أبي خالد قال: سمعت ابن أبي أوفى يقول: دعا رسول اللَّه صلى اللَّه عليه (وسلم) (٣) على الأحزاب فقال: " (اللهم) (٤) منزل الكتاب سريع الحساب هازم الأحزاب اهزمهم وزلزلهم" (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated during the Battle of Ahzab in this manner: O Allah! Revealer of the Book, Swift in reckoning, Defeater of the confederate groups, defeat them and make their feet slip.
