When Supplicating, One Should Seek Forgiveness Abundantly
Hadith 31340
٣١٣٤٠ - حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن أبي الصديق قال: قال أبو سعيد: إذا سألتم اللَّه فارفعوا في المسألة، فإن ما عند اللَّه لستم منفديه (١).
Hazrat Abu Sadiq narrates that Hazrat Abu Saeed said: When you ask Allah for something, then be excessive in your asking. Surely, whatever is with Allah, you cannot exhaust it.
Hadith 31341
٣١٣٤١ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير حدثنا هشام عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت: إذا تمنى أحدكم فليكثر، فإنما (يسأل) (١) ربه (٢).
Hazrat Urwah narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When any one of you desires or wishes for something, he should ask abundantly, because he is asking from his Lord (and not from anyone else).
