Hadith 31116
Hazrat Abu Zubair narrates that Hazrat Safwan bin Abdullah bin Safwan, in whose marriage was Hazrat Darda, came to his wife and found Hazrat Umm Darda with her, and Hazrat Abu Darda was not there. So Hazrat Umm Darda said to him: "Do you intend to perform Hajj this year?" Safwan said: "Yes." Hazrat Umm Darda said: "Pray for good for us as well, for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: 'Indeed, a man's supplication for his brother in his absence is accepted. Near the head of the one who supplicates is an angel who says 'Ameen' to his supplication. Whenever he prays for good for his brother, the angel says: Ameen, and may you have the same.'" Then Safwan bin Abdullah says that I went to the market and met Hazrat Abu Darda, and he also narrated this hadith to me from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 31117
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best supplication is the supplication of a person for someone who is not present.
Hadith 31118
Hazrat Talha narrates that Hazrat Umm al-Darda said: The supplication made by a Muslim for his absent brother is never rejected. Hazrat Talha says that Hazrat Umm al-Darda also said: There is an angel at the side of the one who supplicates; whenever he prays for good for his brother, the angel says: Ameen, and may it be accepted for you as well.
Hadith 31119
Hazrat Umm al-Darda narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The supplication made by a person for his absent brother is accepted. Whenever he prays for his brother, an angel says: May the same be accepted for you as well.
