Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Khallas narrates that regarding the apostate woman who was taken captive, it is reported from Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: She will be killed.

Hazrat Abu Razin narrates that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Women will not be killed when they apostatize from Islam, but they will be imprisoned and called towards Islam, and they will be compelled to accept it.

Hazrat Laith states that Hazrat Ata said regarding an apostate woman: She will not be killed.

Hazrat Amr states that Hasan Basri said: This woman will not be killed.

Hazrat Ash'ath narrates that Hasan Basri said: Do not kill women when they apostatize from Islam. Rather, they should be called towards Islam; if they refuse, then they should be taken captive and made bondwomen of the Muslims, and they should not be killed.

Hazrat Abu Hurrah narrates that it is reported from Hasan Basri regarding the woman who apostatizes from Islam. He said: She should not be killed; she should be imprisoned.

Hazrat Ubaidah says that Ibrahim said: He will not be killed.

Hazrat Hisham states that Hasan Basri said regarding an apostate woman: She will be asked to repent, and if she repents, then fine; otherwise, she will be killed.

Hazrat Yahya bin Saeed narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz that a Muslim man's umm walad became an apostate, so he sold her in Dumah al-Jandal to a man of a different religion.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar narrates that it is reported from Ibrahim regarding the woman who apostatizes from Islam, he said: She will be asked to repent, so if she repents, then fine, otherwise she will be killed.

Hazrat Hammad states that Ibrahim said: This woman will be killed.
