Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Qatadah states that it is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid and Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib regarding a Jewish or Christian woman who is under the authority of a Muslim, and then that person commits adultery with her. Both of these personalities said: She should be stoned to death.

Yunus narrates that Hasan Basri used to say: A Jewish or Christian woman makes a Muslim man chaste.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that it is narrated from Hazrat Ata regarding the man who marries a woman from the People of the Book: He said: Indeed, she makes him chaste and protected (muhsan).

Hazrat Salim narrates that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair about a man who married a Jewish or Christian slave woman—will he become a muhsan (protected by marriage) because of her? He replied: Yes, no matter who she is.
