Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Khallas narrates that a man was brought who was accompanied by four men. Out of them, three testified to adultery, but the fourth did not step forward to testify. So Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) flogged the three and cut the hair of the one against whom the testimony was given.

Hazrat Makhool and Hazrat Waleed bin Abu Malik state that Hazrat Umar wrote regarding a false witness: He should be given forty lashes, his face should be blackened, his head should be shaved, and he should be put in long imprisonment.

Hazrat Umar bin Mus'ab narrates that a man from the tribe of Banu Tamim, belonging to Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair, was brought, so he (Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair) ordered his head to be shaved.
