Regarding the Earlobe
Hadith 29928
٢٩٩٢٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الرحيم وابن نمير عن حجاج عن مكحول (عن) (١) زيد بن ثابت قال: في شحمة الأذن ثلث دية الأذن (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Mak'hool states that Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit said: One third of the compensation for the ear is obligatory for the earlobe.
Hadith 29929
٢٩٩٢٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن حصين عن عامر قال: اختصم إلى علي في ثور نطح حمارًا فقتله، فقال علي: إن كان الثور دخل على الحمار فقتله فقد ضمن، وإن كان الحمار دخل على الثور فقتله فلا ضمان عليه (١).
Hazrat Aamir narrates that a case was presented before Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in which an ox gored a donkey with its horn and killed it. Upon this, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If the ox attacked the donkey and killed it, then its owner will be held liable; but if the donkey attacked the ox and then the ox killed it, then there will be no liability.
Hadith 29930
٢٩٩٣٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شريك عن جابر عن عامر قال: يقتص لبعضهم من بعض، ثم تقام الحدود يعني في القوم (يجرح) (١) بعضهم بعضًا. (تم كتاب الديات) (٢)
Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Amir said: Retribution will be taken among them, some individuals for others, then the punishments will be established; that is, this was said regarding those people among whom some had injured others.
