Regarding the Man Who Borrows a Mount and Rides It Hard
Hadith 29867
٢٩٨٦٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم في رجل استعار من رجل فرسا فركضة حتى مات، قال: ليس عليه ضمان لأن الرجل يركض فرسه.
Hazrat Mughira narrates that it is reported from Ibrahim regarding a person who borrowed a horse from someone, then he spurred it to make it run fast until it died. He (Ibrahim) said: There is no liability upon this person because this man spurred the horse.
Hadith 29868
٢٩٨٦٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن جابر عن عامر في رجل أعطى رجلا فرسا فقتله، قال: لا يضمن إلا أن يكون عبدًا أو صبيًا.
Hazrat Jabir narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Amir regarding a person who gave a horse to another man and he killed it. He (Hazrat Amir) said: That person will not be held liable unless he is a slave or a child.
