Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about a person who, after performing ablution, poured the leftover water on the road—what is the ruling regarding this? Hazrat Hammad said: He should be held liable, and Hazrat Hakam said: He should not be held liable.

Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Amir, regarding the butcher and the washerman who pour water at their door, said: He will be held liable for it.

Hazrat Sha’bah narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad regarding the shopkeeper who sprinkled water in front of his door, and meanwhile, a person passed by there and slipped, thus getting injured. Hazrat Hammad said that the shopkeeper will be held liable, and Hazrat Hakam said: He will not be held liable.
