Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Mughira narrates that Ibrahim said: If a killing is committed intentionally with a weapon, then Qisas (retaliation) will be enforced.

Hazrat Sha'bi narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In every case of intentional murder, there will be retribution (qisas).

Hazrat Ash'ath narrates that Hazrat 'Amir Sha'bi, Hasan Basri, Hazrat Ibn Sirin, and Hazrat 'Amr bin Dinar stated: In the case of intentional murder, there will be retribution (qisas).

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the case of intentional murder, retribution (qisas) will be taken, except if the guardian of the murdered person forgives.

Hazrat Shaibani states that Hazrat Sha'bi, Hazrat Hakam, and Hazrat Hammad said: Whoever strikes with a whip, stick, or stone, and it is less than causing death, then it will be considered intentional (amdan), and qisas (retaliation) will be applicable in it.
