Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Amr Abdi narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The blood money will be distributed among those who are entitled to inheritance.

Ibrahim narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The heirs will be entitled to the blood money, and the blood money will be obligatory upon the family members.

Ayyub narrates that Hazrat Abu Qilabah used to say that the method of distributing blood money is the same as the method of distributing inheritance.

Hazrat Sha'bi and Ibrahim said: The blood money will go to the heirs.

Hazrat Hisham states that Hasan Basri said: This too will be presented before the Book of Allah, just like all of his wealth.

Hazrat Ibn Tawoos narrates that his father, Hazrat Tawoos, used to say and decide in this manner that all the heirs will become heirs to the blood money just as they are heirs to the inheritance wealth.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Hazrat Ata: Will the blood money be distributed according to the method of inheritance? He replied: Yes! I asked: Will the maternal brother also inherit from it? He replied: Yes.
