Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Yazid Jufi narrates that Imam Shabi, regarding the person who was killed and whose wife forgave her husband's blood, stated as follows: The killer will pay seven-eighths of the blood money.

Hazrat Hajjaj says that Hazrat Ata said: If a woman forgives her husband's blood, it will still be obligatory, and one-eighth of the blood money will be forgiven.

Hazrat Laith states that Hazrat Tawus, regarding a woman whose husband was killed and she forgave the killer of her husband, said: Her forgiveness is permissible and the woman's share from the blood money will be forfeited.

Shaybani states that Ibrahim said: Every heir entitled to a share has the right to relinquish it.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad, regarding a person who killed someone and then his wife forgave him, both said: Whoever forgives such a man or woman has, through forgiveness, removed the sin of murder from him.
