Explanation of a Child Admitting Guilt
Hadith 29235
٢٩٢٣٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عباد بن العوام عن عبيدة عن إبراهيم قال: لا يجوز اعتراف الصبي، فإن قامت عليه البينة (بقتل) (١) (فهو) (٢) على العاقلة.
Hazrat Ubaidah says that Ibrahim stated: The confession of a child to a crime will not be accepted, and if evidence is established regarding his committing murder, then the blood money (diyah) will be upon the Aqilah.
Hadith 29236
٢٩٢٣٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن سفيان عن عيسى ⦗١٦٠⦘ (ابن) (١) أبي عزة عن الشعبي أنه كان لا يجيز إقرار الصبي والعبد في الجراحات.
Hazrat Isa bin Abu Azza states that Hazrat Sha'bi said: The confession regarding wounds of a child and a slave will not be enforced.
