Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Sirin said that he saw no harm in the case of a man who was killed by two people, that one of them should be killed and blood money should be taken from the other.

Hazrat Sha'bi, regarding a person who has been killed by a group, states that all of them will be handed over to the heirs of the murdered person; they may kill whomever they wish and pardon whomever they wish.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ata that if one of the heirs forgives, then the others should also forgive.

Hasan, regarding a person who has been killed by three men, and the guardians have decided to pardon some, kill some, and take blood money, says that this is not permissible for them.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib, regarding a person who has been killed by a group, states that his heirs may pardon whomever they wish, kill whomever they wish, and take blood money from whomever they wish.

Ibrahim, regarding a person who has been killed by a group, states that his heirs may kill whomever they wish, pardon whomever they wish, and take blood money from whomever they wish.
