Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit gave the verdict that for a woman’s breast, one-fourth of her blood money (diyah) is due, and for a man’s breast, one-eighth of his blood money (diyah) is due.

Hazrat Sha'bi said that for both breasts, the full blood money (diyah) is due.

Hazrat Sha'bi said that for a woman's breasts or more than that, the full blood money (diyah) is due, and for one of them, half the blood money is due.

Hasan said that there is a full compensation (diyah) for both breasts, and for one of them, there is half compensation (diyah).

Hazrat Zuhri stated that when asked about the breast of a woman, he replied that for it there is half diyah, and if a part of the breast is damaged, then the decision will be made by a just mujtahid.

Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates that Abu Bakr gave the verdict of five camels as compensation if a man's nipple is lost, and ten camels as compensation for a woman's nipple if only its tip is damaged. If the nipple is cut off from the root, then he gave the verdict of fifteen camels as compensation.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah that Hazrat Abu Bakr fixed one hundred dinars for the injury of a woman's breast and fifty dinars for the injury of a man's breast.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that Dawood bin Abi Asim informed me that Abdul Malik bin Marwan gave a verdict in the battle of Ghassan, and they had harmed women; for the injury to the breast, he set the compensation at fifty dinars.

Ibrahim said that there is half diyah for a woman's breast, and for a man's breast, it is according to the decision of just men.

Hazrat Mak'hool said: There is half of her blood money (diyah) in a woman's breast, even if the woman is barren.
