Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim said that when the palm is cut off from the joint, there is blood money for it. Then if some part of the hand is cut off after that, the decision will be made by a just man. And if the arm or below the arm is cut off, then there is also full blood money for it.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj said that I asked Ata: What is your opinion if the hand is cut off from the middle of the wrist? He replied: The compensation will be fifty camels. I asked: If later some more part of the remaining hand is also cut off, then what? He replied: In my opinion, only the compensation for the wound will be given, unless a hadith is found regarding this matter.

Hazrat Mujahid said that if the palm is cut off, then there are fifty camels (as compensation) for it. Then if the rest of the hand, or the wrist, or half of the wrist is cut off, then there is also half of the compensation for the hand, that is, twenty-five camels. And if it is cut from the middle of the wrist or the wrist is cut after the palm, then Ibn Jurayj says that Mujahid states that half of the compensation for the hand will be obligatory. Then if after that the rest of the hand is cut off, then the compensation will be determined by looking at the wound.
