Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Hamza Asadi narrates that I went to Shurayh, and he gave a verdict of five hundred dirhams for a head wound in which the bone was exposed.

Hazrat Hakeem bin Dailam narrates that I brought a case to Shurayh regarding a wound on the head and face in which the bone was visible, so he ruled five young camels as compensation for it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the verdict of five camels for a wound on the face in which the bone becomes visible, and he did not give this verdict for anything else.

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, decreed five camels each as compensation for such a head wound in which the bone becomes visible.

It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a ruling regarding wounds on the head and face that expose the bone, and wounds more severe than that. For a wound that exposes the bone, he ruled five camels as compensation.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abdullah said that for a wound exposing the bone of the head or face, the compensation is five camels.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that a wound on the head or face in which the bone becomes visible carries a penalty of five camels.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said that there are five camels in it.

It is narrated from Hasan that for a wound exposing the bone and for a wound on the face, the compensation is five camels.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said that for a wound on the head or face in which the bone becomes visible, the compensation is five camels or their equivalent in gold or silver.

Hazrat Hakam and Hammad state that for a wound on the head or face that exposes the bone, the compensation is five camels.

Hazrat Tawoos narrates from his father that for a wound on the head or face in which the bone becomes visible, the compensation is five camels.

Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The wound on the head or face in which the bone becomes visible is worth five camels.

A person from the family of Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: For a wound on the head or face in which the bone becomes visible, the compensation is five camels.

Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote a letter stating that the compensation for a wound exposing the bone should not be set at more than fifty dinars. Khalid said that by this, Umar bin Abdul Aziz meant a wound on the face exposing the bone.

Hazrat Ata said that for such a wound on the face or head in which the bone becomes visible, the compensation is five camels.
