Recommended Way to Begin Speech
Hadith 28385
٢٨٣٨٥ - حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد قال: حدثنا عاصم بن كليب عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "كل خطبة ليس فيها تشهد (١) كاليد الجذماء" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Every sermon in which the testimony of faith is not mentioned is like a paralyzed hand.
Hadith 28386
٢٨٣٨٦ - حدثنا أسود بن عامر قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن عطاء عن أبي البختري قال: كل حاجة ليس فيها تشهد فهي بتراء.
Hazrat Ata narrates that Hazrat Abu Al-Bakhtari said: Every need in which there is no declaration of faith (kalima shahadat) is cut off.
Hadith 28387
٢٨٣٨٧ - [حدثنا أسود بن عامر قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال: سمعت حميد ابن هلال يقول: (كل) (١) خطبة ليس فيها تشهد بتراء] (٢).
Hazrat Hammad bin Salamah states that Hazrat Humaid bin Hilal said: Every sermon in which the testimony of faith (kalimah shahadah) is not mentioned is incomplete.
Hadith 28388
٢٨٣٨٨ - حدثنا عبيد اللَّه بن موسى عن الأوزاعي عن قرة عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال: "كل كلام ذي بال لا يبدأ فيه بالحمد للَّه فهو أقطع" (١).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Every splendid speech that does not begin with "Alhamdulillah" is incomplete.
