Dislike of Saying: There Is No Prophet After the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)
Hadith 28354
٢٨٣٥٤ - حدثنا حسين بن محمد قال: حدثنا جرير بن حازم (عن محمد) (١) عن عائشة (قالت) (٢): قولوا: خاتم النبيين، ولا تقولوا: لا نبي بعده (٣).
The Prophet Muhammad said that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) stated: You should say that he is the Seal of the Prophets. Do not say: There is no prophet after him (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 28355
٢٨٣٥٥ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مجالد قال: أخبرنا عامر قال: قال رجل عند الغيرة بن شعبة: صلى اللَّه على محمد خاتم الأنبياء، لا نبي بعده، قال المغيرة: حسبك إذا قلت: خاتم الأنبياء، فإنا كنا نُحدث أن عيسى خارج، فإن (هو) (١) خرج فقد كان قبله (و) (٢) بعده (٣).
Hazrat Amir narrates that a person recited Durood in the presence of Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah in this way: “May Allah send mercy upon Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the Seal of the Prophets (peace and blessings be upon him), and after whom there is no prophet.” Hazrat Mughirah said: It is sufficient for you to say that he is the Seal of the Prophets, because we used to discuss that Isa (Jesus) is to appear. So when he appears, he was before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and will be after him as well.
