Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shareek bin Ghila says that I was with Hazrat Umar bin Khattab, so he used to say to me: O my nephew! Then he asked me, so I told him my lineage. He realized that my father had not accepted Islam. Then he began to say: O my son, O my son.

Hazrat Qais narrates that Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah said: No one asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Dajjal as much as I asked him about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O my son! No harm from him will reach you.

Hazrat Umar bin Abi Salamah narrates that when food was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Umar, O my son! Take the name of Allah and eat with your right hand and eat from what is in front of you.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O my son.

Hazrat Mak'hool Azdi narrates that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked about the man who was prevented from Samarkand or Khurasan or Kufa. He replied: O my son! I wish we too had been freed from time.

Hazrat Qais bin Abad narrates that Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b said to him: O my son! May Allah not harm you.

Qaboos’s father narrates that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O my son.

Hazrat Naeem says that I asked Hazrat Asim about the saying of Allah, the Lord of Majesty, { فَنَادَاہَا مِنْ تَحْتِہَا }: so he said: { مِنْ تَحْتَہَا } is with victory. I asked: From whom did you narrate this? He said: O my son! From Hazrat Zar!

Hazrat Zabraqan narrates that Hazrat Abu Wa'il said to me: O my beloved son!
