One Who Spends the Night Alone at Home
Hadith 28078
٢٨٠٧٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن جابر عن أبي جعفر قال: لا تبت في بيت وحدك، فإن الشيطان (أشد ما) (١) يكون ولعًا.
Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Abu Ja'far said: Do not spend the night alone in the house. This is because Satan incites a person the most when he spends the night alone.
Hadith 28079
٢٨٠٧٩ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن ابن (جريج) (١) عن عطاء قال: نهى رسول اللَّه ﷺ أن يسافر الرجل وحده، أو يبيت في بيت وحده (٢).
Hazrat Ata narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from traveling alone or spending the night alone.
Hadith 28080
٢٨٠٨٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن عاصم (بن محمد عن) (١) أبيه عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لو يعلم أحدكم ما في الوحدة ما سار ⦗٤٤٢⦘ أحد (كم) (٢) بالليل" (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you knew what harm there is in solitude, then none of you would travel at night alone.
